19TH ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS
KODAK THEATRE IN LOS ANGELES, APRIL 26, 2008
Los Angeles, April 26, 2008 – GLAAD Media Award recipients for Outstanding Drama Series, Comedy Series and Reality Program were announced at the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at the Kodak Theatre on Saturday night. Additional awards were presented in New York on March 17, and in South Florida on April 12. Remaining awards will be presented in San Francisco on May 10 at the San Francisco Marriott.

Following is a complete list of GLAAD Media Awards presented on stage and the individuals that accepted the awards (acceptors tentative):
- Vanguard Award: Janet Jackson (presented by Ellen DeGeneres)
- Stephen F. Kolzak Award: Rufus Wainwright (presented by Sharon Stone)
- Pioneer Award: Herb Ritts (presented by Tom Ford, and accepted by Cindy Crawford on behalf of the Herb Ritts Foundation)
- Outstanding Drama Series: Brothers & Sisters (ABC) [Accepted by: Executive Producers Alison Schapker, Monica Breen, and Producer David Marshall Grant, with Sally Field, Rachel Griffiths, Matthew Rhys, Ron Rifkin, and Balthazar Getty]
- Outstanding Comedy Series: Ugly Betty (ABC) [Accepted by: Executive Producer Silvio Horta, with Michael Urie, Becki Newton, Christopher Gorham, and Tony Plana]
- Outstanding Reality Program: Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (Bravo) [Accepted by: Kathy Griffin]
Previously GLAAD announced an exclusive agreement with Bravo, its new broadcast partner, which will telecast the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards later this year. The announcement was made jointly by GLAAD President Neil G. Giuliano and General Manager of Bravo Media Frances Berwick. The national media advocacy organization has presented the GLAAD Media Awards annually since 1990, but this will be the first televised airing of the celebration on a fully distributed national cable network. GLAAD will provide details about the upcoming broadcast date in the near future.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor individuals and projects in media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.
